Not Benalia. Alara isn't anywhere near Dominaria.
But the art resembles the Urza's block era, doesn't it?

Somewhat, yes. But I favour this art better. It looks more polished than Alliances and Masks.
The angels remind me the Herald of Serra. They seem to be the same kind of art.

I doubt they will. I would say that Alara is somehow related to Ajani's background. There's lots of artwork regarding lions so there's only fair that there's an intelligent lionine society too.
And I'm not sure if this is Ajani with or without the spark. Or just some Ajani's follower? Although I think it to be same Ajani we already know.

And I think it'll be a planeswalker. Remember the rule? No 2 'walkers that share the same type? You can have Ajani Goldmane and Ajani Vengeant if the card type isn't Planeswalker Ajani. If it is the same, you can't have both in play no matter the card's name.
